These terms apply to the Local Athletics app (“the app”), provided by Local Athletics Limited (company number 16510001), trading as Local Athletics (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the app you agree to them. Our privacy policy explains how we handle your data.
1. Health disclaimer
Training plans and nutrition targets, including anything generated by AI, are general information and not medical advice. Exercise carries a risk of injury. Talk to a qualified professional before you start, especially if you have an injury or a health condition, and stop if something hurts. If you follow a plan from your own physio or doctor, their advice comes first. You use the app at your own risk.
2. Your account
You must be at least 13 to use the app. Keep your sign-in details secure and tell us if you think someone else has used your account. You can delete your account at any time with Profile → Delete account.
3. Community rules
These apply everywhere you can post: the feed, comments and circles.
- Post only content that is yours or that you have the right to share.
- No harassment, bullying, hate, threats, sexual content, graphic violence, or anything illegal.
- No spam, scams, advertising without permission, or impersonating someone else.
- No dangerous advice, such as extreme dieting, or encouraging injury or self-harm.
- Respect other people’s privacy. Don’t share anyone’s personal information or photos without their permission.
We have zero tolerance for abusive content and abusive users.
4. Reporting, blocking and enforcement
You can report posts, comments and people, and block people, from the menu on any post or comment. We review reports within 24 hours. We may remove content and suspend or delete accounts that break these rules, without notice. The person who created a circle can also remove posts, comments and members from that circle.
5. Your content
You keep ownership of what you post. You give us permission to store it and show it to the people who can see it: followers you approve for feed posts, and members of the circle for circle posts. This permission ends when you delete the content or your account. A post can be reposted only if its author allows it.
6. AI features
AI output can be wrong or unsuitable for you. Check it before acting on it. You are responsible for how you use it.
7. Changes and availability
The app is free to use. We may change, add or remove features, and we may update these terms. We will change the date at the top when we do, and tell you in the app if a change is significant. If you keep using the app after a change, you accept the new terms.
8. Our responsibility to you
We provide the app with reasonable care and skill, but we can’t promise it will always be available or free of errors. To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for losses that were not foreseeable, or for losses caused by you not following these terms. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that the law does not allow us to limit.
9. Apple and Google
If you downloaded the app from the App Store, Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies. Apple and Google are not responsible for the app or its content.
10. Contact and law
Questions or complaints: info@localathletics.co.uk. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you live elsewhere in the UK or the EU, you keep the protection of your local consumer laws and can bring a claim in your local courts.
